Danielle M. Merolla, Psy.D. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Associate Director of the Center for Prevention and Outreach (CPO) at Stony Brook University. Prior to joining the CPO team, Danielle spent over 10 years working with ethnically and culturally diverse young adults and families from underserved areas experiencing signs of early psychosis. With a focus on early detection and intervention, she utilized a non-traditional outreach approach to connect, support, and treat young adults within a patient-centered, shared decision-making model of care. Her roles across the care spectrum supported the development and implementation of early intervention treatment and programming, including the Hartford Hospital intensive Outpatient Young Adult Service. She also served as the Primary Clinician and Outreach Specialist for one of the first Ontrack teams in NY. At SBU Danielle oversees the Mental Health and Suicide prevention and early intervention outreach, programming, and training. She developed and continues to lead the first mental health peer education internships at the University. This includes Global Minds Alliance which is a peer-led internship focusing primarily on the unique needs of Stony Brook's Global Students.
